From the producers and directors of the Academy-Award nominated WAR DANCE and the co-producer of the Academy-Award nominated MY ARCHITECT, INOCENTE is both a timeless story about the transformative power of art and a timely snapshot of the new face of homelessness in America, children. Neither sentimental nor sensational, INOCENTE will immerse you in the very real, day-to-day existence of a young girl who is battling a war that we rarely see. The challenges are staggering, but the hope in Inocente’s story proves that the hand she has been dealt does not define her, her dreams do.

“Filmmakers Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine do the incredible in Inocente” – Adam A. Donaldson, Press Plus 1

“Inspiring and uplifting” – Canadian Newcomer

“Proof that great things come in small packages”  – Dork Shelf

“Both heartbreaking and uplifting, Inocente isn’t the story of a girl who is trying to make something of herself in spite of her tough circumstances. It’s the story of a girl who is already a thoroughly impressive human being and artist, whether she realizes it or not.” – Chris Dart, Torontoist

INOCENTE has screened at Hot Docs International Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival, Arizona International Film Festival where it won the Special Jury Award for Inspirational Filmmaking, the Awareness Fest and will show at the San Antonio Film Festival and the Melbourne International Film Festival before it premiers on MTV August 17th.

Shine Global has partnered with local organizations serving children including the Boys and Girls Club and a Homeless Youth coalition to offer free tickets to the screenings.
